Student Social Trip to Kamakura

[Event Title]    Student Social Trip to Kamakura
[Event Date]    11th and 12th July 2023 (subject to change)

Introduction:
This social event is organized for IFAC student attendees and aims to foster interaction among students. This will be a friendly occasion for you to meet other students in our scientific community, while enjoying a day-trip to Kamakura!

About the Event:
This trip to Kamakura will be entirely student-run, with students studying in Japan serving as guides. This will allow participants to enjoy a more open interaction! It will be self-funded, and the number of participants is expected to be about 20. More details about the date, time, meeting place, and reservation form will be announced soon!

What’s Kamakura?:
Kamakura is a medieval city near Tokyo, where various charms such as history, culture, mountains and sea coexist. It is an ideal place to explore medieval temples, marvel at the Great Buddha, immerse in traditional tea ceremonies, and bask in serene beaches. As a visitor, one can uncover the allure of Kamakura, where culture and nature converge for an unforgettable experience.

Next-Gen Faculty Interactive Session

Drawing inspiration from successful events in the past, we are thrilled to introduce the "Next-Gen Faculty Interactive Session" at Exhibition Hall A.

 

This interactive session serves as an ideal platform for faculty members, search committee members, and talent recruiters to interact directly with graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who are prospecting for faculty positions.

 

We cordially invite faculty candidates, who are already registered for the conference, to sign up for this unique interactive presentation. Please complete the online registration form by July 7th, 2023.

The session will be held on July 13th from 10:00 to 12:00 at Exhibition Hall A. Space is allocated on a first-come first-serve basis.

 

Instead of displaying a printed poster, a 40-inch-wide monitor with 16/9 proportions, and 1920x1080 resolution in landscape format is provided, offering capabilities beyond a static poster.
